I am enjoying having a laptop, thats for sure.  I've had my first one for
about 2 months or so.

However, there is one thing I do that I'm not sure can be moved to the
laptop (yet).  When I'm mixing songs of bands I've recorded, I use a
digital out from the recorder into a computer (with a sound card that has
digital I/O).  I wouldn't expect laptops to come standard w/ SPDIF Digital
IO ports.

I'm sure there are options out there, but I haven't researched any (no
need to yet).
