Udpdate: hah, it proves to be either bad luck on my end or a poor choice, first IBM tech gave a wrong part # for the LCD though I gave him the exact notebook model # and machine type #, then spent about a hour to finally obtain a correct one, which would cost over 400 bucks, at this point, I would get a new one and just keep the old one.
