Deanna,

All too frequently that is what happens, its not about sex, but a
power relationship between the adult and the underage boy or girl.
When I was working in the juvie system back in Manitoba, I had to deal
with several similar cases - abused or overly sexualized teens. In
almost every case what happened was more of an _expression_ of power
than sex.

In essence I hope that she gets the equivalent sentance as would have
happened it it had been a male teacher and a female student.

The irritating part of this whole thing is that if it had been a male
teacher, it would justhave made the local paper, possibly to the state
level. With a female teacher and male student (who from the sound of
it was not what you would call an innocent victim) it makes national
headlines. Somewhat hypocritical if you ask me.
