That insane tax cut jump started a failing economy.
You're not better of now than you were 2-3 years ago?
It worked, you just have to look around and see.
A result of that tax cut was the loss of 6 million jobs, and the so-called
jump-start recovered less than 2 million. The Pentagon has started withholding
payments from Halliburton because of the proved overchages. The Vice President
is the formet CEO of Halliburton, and continues to hold a ton of stock and
receives a considerable income from his investment.

All inuendo, show me hard facts and I'll look it over.
If you point to Moore than he'll have to answer

The hard facts have been posted here over and over, you just choose not to pay

We're not like that at all. He has his faults. But we
believe he is a good honest man. If you show me facts
about your claims and back them up I will switch

It seems like people on this list hate him so much and
are using Iraq as an excuse. I feel the war in Iraq
was a good thing and you all need to at least
recognize that maybe there were good intentions.
Unfortunately the facts go counter to your feelings of his honesty.
You don't need to like Bush. I'm not asking anyone to
vote for him, you can still hate him or dislike him
whatever, but give Iraq a chance.
No one has said that we should drop all efforts in Iraq, just proof that his
justification for invading was a lie, which by extension gives rise to the
thought that there is another agenda driving him.
I'm trying to plant the thought that maybe those are
just rumors, just like the rumors that Syria has the
WMDs and the proof about Niger is there. Many people
on this thread are so positive that what Michael Moore
says is true, but there unproven rumors.
What Michael Moore says is really beside the point, but the facts he presented
have been cooborated from other sources as well. It is also known that while
Syria is listed as a terrorist supporting state, the CIA has long been in bed
with their security forces, which is the real reason Canadian Citizens of middle
east descent were deported to Syria where they knew they would be tortured.
This act trashed long standing treaties with Canada, and is harming our
relations with them as well.
The Medicare reform act took away the government's ability to negotiate
favorable prices for medicines, favoring the fat cat contributors.
All anyone has been trying to do is to get you to analyze the facts, and start
thinking for yourself. Stop swallowing all the tripe and "entertainment" you
get from Rush, and others from the Fox Network. who continually attack the
messenger, but cannot truthfully refute the message (facts)
And the answer to your question about whether we are better off? No we are
not. Our constitution is being trashed, Our science leadership is being
trashed, and much more.
As for me, I am not an environmentalist, and do not agree with the provisions of
the Kyoto Treaty, and feel we should open up oil exploration in the Arctic. I
do not believe that borrowing against the future and placing the burden on the
middle class is right either. I do not believe the United States is the World's
savior, nor should she pick and choose who is bad and who is the baddest of them
all. Above all, I hate liars.
