I don't know, but in my opinion, this statement does not conflict with the
statements made by the commission.

The commission only states that Iraq did not conspire with al-Qaeda to plan
the 9/11 attacks, that doesn't mean that some of the plans weren't created
from bases in Iraq.

Like the Taliban, I imagine they were not involved in the 9/11 attacks,
however when we used that as a reason to remove the Taliban from power, we
didn't get near the uproar. My point being, the President said that any
nation that allows terrorists to operate from within their borders,
regardless of state involvement is a target in the war on terror.

Yes, that is Cheney not Bush, but that is really splitting hairs,
kinda like saying yeah well there were contacts, they just didn't
cooperate.
