I should have answered the email after I returned from a 4 hours meeting and
then had lunch. Don't feel too much like fighting now. :)

But how did I threaten you?

Bottom line is this: Not everyone is going to agree with it. We (The
American people) have got to come up with a way to resolve this issue.

Gays can't push their beliefs on thos who oppose and visa-versa.

Is there a common ground?  Who knows. Bush just so happens to be a
Christian. Is we had an atheist president, then he would just make gay
marriage legal across the board and that would be forcing it down my throat.

It's just a situation that doesn't have an easy answer.

OK.  I can accept that.

Yes.  One of my best friends was a devout Catholic, and is now Pagan.
Although I doubt that that is what you are asking.  :-)

> Why is it so surprising that I feel this way?

I'm not surprised that you feel that homosexuality is immoral.  I'm
surprised that you are okay with limiting someone's freedoms.

Right.  I already said I figured I was unlikely to change your mind.

As opposed to a hive.  Yep.  I agree.

Well, shoot, what the heck!!"

You essentially asked us to bring it on.  I brought it.  Did I miss
something?  Heck, I even came with humor.  I wasn't trying to hurt
feelings or jump down throats.  I was simply giving a full-throated
defense of my original platform.

> The question was asked and I answered it.

By, in a wierd roundabout way, threatening me.  I'm not terribly upset
about that.  I just want to know how willing you are to back it up.  :-)
Somehow I doubt that you really meant I ought to die.  I think you
just got your back up a bit more than was necessarily called for.  No
biggie; I've done it, too.

So, if you no longer want to argue this, that's fine.  But if you tell
us to bring it, expect it to be brought.  'Cause this group is about the
bringingest I've ever been a part of.
