let's say I with my current opinions on the fitness of Bush for office
were to write a straight news story, as opposed to an op-ed or a
editorial, on some aspect of the war or the election, I would include
all of the details that indicate that Bush is acting in good faith
right along with the ones that indicate that he isn't, and allow the
reader to make up his or her own mind. That's the ideal, not that you
pretend not to have an opinion.

Individual writers may have personal bias, but I think most journalists can
hide that.

ok, just for giggles.... what news sources would YOU consider not
biased? And hehe....Every adult I knew as a child who was not a
relative was a journalist, so I am finding this discussion
amusing...AP has a political agenda hehe... but ok, you tell me :)
