> I am not in a situation. My people as a whole are.

> Which then puts me in a situation, because I care.

Once again, this is a comment about my semantics, not about the topic
of conversation. Is there a particular reason you chose to single out
this phrase (which was meant to be sympathetic) as a target to be
argumentative against?

In the context, however poorly worded it may have been, this sentence
was an attempt to identify with you as an individual to express my
desire to show you as an individual sympathy and compassion. In the
context I intended "your situation" to be interpreted as meaning
everything that you experience, who and what you are, and the
circumstances surrounding you -- including your race and the situation
of your race. It's inclusive not exclusive.
