My fiancé is a huge vegetarian, eats no meat whatsoever: no fish, no
poultry, no red meat, nothing... She does eat eggs though... Usually in
cakes and such, never just a couple fried eggs. LOL. She chooses to eat this
way for a two reasons. First off she knows a tremendous amount about the
meat packing industry, the treatment of animals (especially raising cows for
veal) and it saddens and sickens here to partake in an activity that
indirectly supports that. The second reason is that she does not wish to
consume the hormones and extraneous crap found in so many animal feeds, etc.
She has eaten this way since we were in high school. It makes cooking at
home fun, double the dishes! Seriously though, she is in great health, feels
like she makes a difference in her own way (however big or small that may
be) and I support her; just like she does not shit on me for eating meat....
Although I don't eat as much red meat as I used to.
