News is that Kurt will start the season as number 1 and Eli will only play
is the team is so bad they have no chance for a playoff. I think the
Giants should drive the length of the field and once you get inside the 20
you put Eli in there. Just so he gets a taste of the good stuff.
PS I saw the Ole Miss - LSU game and I was not impressed either. Then
again he had no talent around him either. The one thing Eli does have is
that he was more highly recruited then his brother Peyton. That does not
factor in a) how much more competitive college football recruiting has
gotten since Peyton was HS senior and b) the branding of the Manning name
that Peyton contributed too. If Eli can play like Peyton, any future male
Manning child they plays QB will instantly become the most highly recruited
HS senior. The only thing that would prevent this is if the younger
Manning had some sort of physical handicap.
