It will be different, obviously, in two ways: the "Express" version is SQL
Server 2005 (so its newer than the MSDE version) and it's free (I believe
the MSDE version cost something like $70, didn't it?) However the "Express"
products will be replcing the MSDE products - so you can really just see it
as the next version of MSDE.
The product is limited. For example it can only access one CPU and 1 Gig of
Ram (although it can be installed on boxes with more). But I believe that
your applications can (legally) be distributed and made public using only
Express products (if you're willing to settle for the limitations).
I think we're going to have to wait and see how the release license is
worded (everything is still in beta) but this might a very good thing. Then
again it could be a very marketing thing. ;^)
