Great attitude Gerry! Your quote, "I've been frustrated as to what to do

an American.", really describes what I went through recently. Being
prior military, I had thoughts of going back in and doing my part. I
even got in touch with a recruiter and found out that I could pick up
where I left off, which was very tempting. But the more I thought about
it, the more it didn't make sense. I came to the conclusion that what I
did in the past was just an old chapter in my book of life and decided
that I could lend support and be just as American and patriotic here as
I could in the military.

I think that this has to be one of the most optimistic posts I've seen

date. Seems no matter what happens, Howard is going to be pretty much
okay
with it. But it DOES underscore a point.
We are at a crossroads right here. The last time a US generation was
tested like this was in the 1940s. The real issue is starting to make
itself evident.
"Are we going to define a new way of responding to crisis, and utilize
technology and media to hide from the world, or are we going to rise to

challenge of the generation that we are 2 generations removed from, and
stand up to do our part."
If you choose the first option, you may die anyway, and die like a
coward. If you choose the second, you help to impact the greater
situation, and may save yourself and your family in the process. For me
there is no other choice but to stand up, be alert, always go down
fighting, and DO BUSINESS! I've been frustrated as to what to do about
this like all of you, but I've decided that the best thing I can do is
be
an American. The best thing I can do is to be entrepreneurial (cause
that
is my gig), create jobs, create wealth, create a new way of doing
business
along with a new way of going to war. In other words, Im going to
adapt,
and my family is going to adapt along with me. Im going to display the
kind of courage that an entire generation displayed in the 40s, and move
through this evil.
I don't know if any of you enjoy reading Dune, but there is a quote that
is
just so perfect. At the risk of sounding like the geek I am, here it
is....
"I must not fear......fear is the mind killer......fear is the little
death
that leads to total oblivion......I will face my fear and let it pass
through and over me until only I remain."
Words to live by......even if it is from a science fiction book.
