I don't need to get rid of mine. we just don't like her much. ;^)
Actually, tho' - you might want to check out Amtrak - I seem to remember
that they have a pet transport service (feeding, looking in on them, etc).
It may take longer to get her there, but it may also be less stressful (I
know that take off and landing can be pretty stressful for me).

Subject: Shipping a cat
So, my daughter has been diagnosed with asthma, and one of the things
the doctor insisted on is that we get rid of the cat. I've had my cat
for 10 years, and will miss her dearly, but I must get rid of her. I
have a very good home for her with a family member, but that person is
in Virginia. As I don't have the time to drive the cat to Virginia
from Louisiana, what are my options? Can I put her on a plane w/o
paying for a full ticket?
