True, EU commanders fill the role of 'Stability Managers' after US Marines have cleared the way (euphemism for 'killed lots of people').....

To be fair, though, Afghanistan is the US's fight for the simple reason that they were the country that was attacked. EU support in that effort is terrific, and undestandably just that: a support role.

  Look at where the commander of the stabilization force is from.
  Europe, France actually. The commander before him was German. The EU
  does have toops in place in Afghanistan. Does that qualify as helping
  to liberate an asian country.

  Of couse they're not too stupid to get involved in a land war in Asia.
