thank you Isaac for making the map for me :) Yes, that is the picture,
and that appears to be the consensus.

I am planning to run it past this state trooper I know next time I run
into him in the diner (we're New Mexico after all, it's another
country, doncha know) but if y'all are right then I did cut her off.
Not that this excuses the screaming hissy fit she threw following me
around in the grocery store, so I am not TOO sorry I got sarcastic.
But.

There's enough rage in the world today without me adding to it, so I
should maybe bear it in mind for the next time the situation arises :)

okay... if the map looks like this:

    grocery
  parking lot
-------|  |----
road
-------|  |----median
     her
-------|  |----
        you
  parking lot
     grocery

then you're supposed to yield as she's on the (bigger better) only
road.
