Do you live in Florida?  If so, then go to the state's web-site and check to
see if sales taxes apply to services.  If you don't live in Florida but the
work was performed there or for a company there, then you do not need to
charge sales tax.  I believe that state income tax should be reported to the
state that you live in (especially if it is an income tax free state).

  Subject: Question About Taxes

Hello all, I have just completed a Freelance project in the State of
Florida and was wondering about taxes.  As the is the first "Freelance"
project I have done, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to handle the taxes.
I realize that I have to account for them on my Federal Income taxes,
but was wondering if design services need to include sales tax?  Any
  help would be appreciated.

  Thanks,
  Chris
