I seriously doubt that.

Unless you are placed in a life/death high pressure, high stress situation you do not 
know how you will react.

Unless you are trained in law enforcement, or martial arts that includes mock ups of 
facing an attacker and knowing what to
do, you cannot with any great certainty state how you would react in such a situation.

I certainly don't know what I would do, I might think that i would rush someone, 
prehaps ineffectually..but I might just as
easily sit in my seat in shock, or fear.

There is a reason why people need to be *trained* for lengthy periods of time in order 
to react properly and effectually in
such situations.

You sure about that? I'm pretty darn sure if a hijacking happened here
again, that the people on the plane would just rush the hijackers. No
one is ever going to believe the "If you just sit still and be quiet,
you won't get hurt" line again.
