Talk about being sorry I asked :) I like Doug. The sex offender
registration is quite a shock and I hope it is not irrelevant to
whatever is currently going on, since it has now been so publicly
aired :) If it is not irrelevant, I am still very saddened. And
worried for Doug :) Bexar County jail is probably especially mean if
you are an older man and facing a pedophilia charge.

unfortunately it's not a joke, and nobody's kidding :(
I recently started hosting with doug, and about 2 weeks after, my site
was gone (as was doug's). i did manage to get a hold of him over the
phone, at which point he told me he was havin connectivity issues with
his provider (SBC), and it would be about 2 weeks.
4 weeks later, i've heard from numerous sources the same thing. yes,
the site we've all seen says the offense was in 1989, but if you look
at the address on that page, it says 'incarcerated'. my understanding
is that there was an FBI sting recently, and all of his servers were
confiscated.
I didn't want to comment on this until i knew for sure...and i still
don't...but i've heard from enough sources that i believe it to be
true...and since people are talking about it anyway...
(so on a slightly related note, i'm looking for cheap reliable hosting) :)
