Uh, yes it does. They are a good source if you want terrorist propoganda. I'm not saying that the situation isn't inflaming terrorism or creating new terrorists -- I'm just saying I wouldn't use Al Jazera for a source to prove it, because according to them anytime Israel does anything, it's terrorism, while anytime a Palestinean kills a four-year-old, it's heroic martyrdom.

I would read multiple newspapers to try to get a good idea what's going on, and not trust a single source, especially not a source like Al Jazera (or BBC, for that matter, as they are well-known for being one-sided in their Middle East coverage.)

What I see is that we are funding and training a government and police force in Iraq that is encouraging the terrorist activity in Iraq. What I am referring to is the report by a British journalist who was  taken hostage and then later released who said that the Iraqi police let the terrorists and the hostages pass freely and seemed to be encouraging them, even though it was clear that there were Western hostages in the car. I can try to find this on the Web -- I had seen this reported on the news on tv. The fact that the Iraqi police were treating these guys as heroes is what made an impression on me.

What I'm saying is that there's no real difference in ideology between the people we're training as police in Iraq and the terrorists who are taking hostages.

That's the real heart of the problem.
