Come off of what? I think that its wrong to use negative stereotypes on any
group of people. What's wrong with that? I don't condone it. You may,
but I don't. I think that a lot of George Carlin jokes are really funny,
but some do cross the line. I wouldn't say that would embody George Carlin's
act though. Same with SNL. But SNL even knows where to draw the line.
Lorne Michaels said that any jokes related to the events of 9/11 will most
likely be targeted toward the media. He said that there's just not really
anything funny about what happened. I think Chris Rock is a riot, but I
don't particularly care for some of his standup routine either because it's
all about black and white stereotypes. I do appreciate that a lot of his
humor on that front is intended to point out the absurdity of it all, which
has value. Same with Carlin. But, in this case, it was just a rip on
people from Oklahoma City. That doesn't have value.

Not just now. Always.

Respectfully,

Michael
