> It's a mute point.

I'm not sure evidence is a 'mute' point... after all, what if bin Laden
isn't responsible... then an attack on the Afghanistan would be unjustified.

I think it's disturbing how everyone seems to profess they know the culprit
and just need 'evidence' in order to maintain the moral high ground so that
when they strike it's justified, whatever the outcome... I wouldn't trust my
govenment... it's run by politicians. They make a living out of lying. Don't
you think that given the gravity of the event, they are forced to rush to
conclusions. I'd say any evidence would be circumstancial and if held up to
a civil court wouldn't be enough to convict, but that doesn't matter. What
matters in this case is that american has identified it's target (truth is
irrelvant). Now all that is left to do is deliver 'infinate justice' by way
of violence.

The IDN Fresh conference home page says it best...

"How long to human being have to exist on this earth before realising that
nothing can justify the taking of another human life let alone thousands of
them for political, religious or other ends?"

Like the very target of the attacks, the world trade center, bin ladin has
become a 'symbol' of american retribution (largely due to the media)
regardless of whether or not be was responsible.
