Correct me if I'm wrong, but you are positing that science is entirely
about facts while religion is entirely about faith.  Other than the
arguments about repeatability, which have been dealt with elsewhere, I
don't see the difference between Hawking's theories being too
complicated for all but a handful of physicists and the Will of God
being too elusive for all but a handful of prophets.

Assuming there is a divine will (for the sake of argument, go with me
here), the belief of any given person has no bearing on whether that
will exists and, I would imagine, it also has no bearing on what that
will is.

Of course, a lot of my argument stems from my own personal belief that
God works through natural law.

I also have questions about mankind's ability to separate his intellect
from his faith, but that's a substantially different discussion altogether.
