The movie annoyed me just because McDonald's has had perfectly good,
perfectly healthy selections for years now.

The inference is that the corporation is somehow "making us eat it" - they
wouldn't be selling it if people weren't buying, period.

If you don't want to get fat eating at McDonald's then don't order
super-sized meals or better yet order the salad.  I wasn't much of a fan of
their old salads (they've had them for over 15 years) but the new chicken
salads are actually quite good.

You can definitely eat every meal at McDonald's and suffer no ill effects...
but it's up to you to choose wisely.
