How is this a "cheap shot"?
Let's say the question was, "do you think you're born a Texan or can
you become a Texan?" and yesterday Mr. Bush's daughters had been
publically saying, "you can only be born a Texan!"
Mr. Kerry replies, "Well I think if you ask Mr. Bush's daughters'
they'll say you're can only be born a Texan."
Are you just as outraged?
The point is, Ms. Cheney is A.) a very public and outspoken lesbian,
and B.) an high offical in the campaign.
Mr. Kerry only repeated what Ms. Cheney has said very publically
herself - that being the case, it can't be a "shot" much less a cheap
one.
Now, you might call it a small whiff of pandering at to the
evangelicals, but, if so, it was ever so small.
