Which version of IE7 are you using? I've submitted a bug report to Dean
Edwards since I have found that the JS version seems to create an FOUC
(Flash of Unstyled Content) effect on my pages (which admittedly are
complex) but which older versions using the htc method don't introduce.

I figured it out: I had an invalid IE 7 patch that broke things. With a
vanilla IE 6 I get the same behaviour as you get.
All the remaining problems are due to known bugs: hovering through :hover is
unsupported in IE and clicking is broken because IE is not passing the
element to the event listener.
