I've been using a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz for the past few years and love
it.

I actually just removed it from my system as I put in a new motherboard and
decided to simplify things by going with the onboard sound (since I can't
fit surround sound speakers in my new office anyway).

One of the things I really like about the Santa Cruz is that you can adjust
the cards output on the fly via software.  In my case I had four-channel
speakers plugged into the main card and a set of headphones attached to the
"versa jack" (a dynamic jack that could be set for several functions).  I
could then, using only the windows mixer software provided, decide to listen
to the headphones or the speakers.  No crawling under the desk to plug in
the headphones, no ugly breakout boxes, etc - both devices could be plugged
in at the same time and be changed via software.

It's really great to have that versatility.  Oh - and it sounds really good
as well.  ;^)

I'm actually not using the Santa Cruz any longer. but I'd like to wait a
short while to make sure that the onboard sound is going to be okay before I
get rid of it.  If you give me a few days to test things out here I'd be
happy to give you the Santa Cruz.  The card's only like $40 new and this one
is used so I'm not going to get anything for it anyway.

Let me know.
