He seemed pretty sure he had gotten a Purple Heart and he didn't seem all that happy about me saying that had I been around at the time I might have helped draftees get to Canada. In other words, I believe him. He runs a bookstore where I am a customer so I could always go tell him that you think he is wrong about that :)
Seriously, Sam, I think *any* injury while in a combat zone qualifies. Though I am definitely not the list's expert on things military.
