MN has very high taxes, I think maybe it's one of the highest in the
country.  There's not a lot of love for big government programs even
though it's the home of Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale.

They elected Jesse Ventura for Governor so there's also quite a large
independent streak, but their current Governor is a Republican and
he's doing a good job IMO.  I think St. Paul's democratic mayor is
supporting Mr. Bush, though, just to throw that into the mix.

Historically, however, MN has a strong DFL base which, in this
election, may kick in along with a strong student vote to give it to
Mr. Kerry.

I suspect it'll be tight and it will tighten up after 5pm.
