MN has very high taxes, I think maybe it's one of the highest in the country. There's not a lot of love for big government programs even though it's the home of Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale. They elected Jesse Ventura for Governor so there's also quite a large independent streak, but their current Governor is a Republican and he's doing a good job IMO. I think St. Paul's democratic mayor is supporting Mr. Bush, though, just to throw that into the mix. Historically, however, MN has a strong DFL base which, in this election, may kick in along with a strong student vote to give it to Mr. Kerry. I suspect it'll be tight and it will tighten up after 5pm. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=34 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:133730 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
