Yes, but notice we're not recommending the electoral college for Iraq! All this thing does is get the candidate to focus on a number of battle states while ignoring everywhere else. Did the candidate got to Wyoming, Idaho, Alaska, Mississippi? Nixon was the last candidate to go to Hawaii and then only because he promised to visit every state. It also encourage a 2 party system with it's winner-take-all design. For example, Ross Perot got 25% of the vote, but zero electoral votes. How is that the will of the people? Besides, what's the upside to it? Overall it seems to me that if we're the greatest democracy then it should show. We should have the latest voter technology, national holidays (parties) for elections, federally funded elections, TV ads that must include a tail with fact analysis from an independent group such as factcheck.org, and other stuff that's smart. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Sams Teach Yourself Regular Expressions in 10 Minutes by Ben Forta http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=40 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:133816 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
