I agree. Fraud should be prosecuted. Fraud should not be used as a means to challenge an election that has no hope of being overturned.
For me it boils down to this. Yes there may have been fraud or inconsistencies. But is there enough to affect the outcome of the election? In this case I think it doesn't change the outcome of the election. So why challenge the election results? It smacks of poor sportsmanship. Concentrate on discovering who committed the fraud and how it was committed. Prosecute those who were involved in fraudulent activity and change the system to prevent it from happening again. If you believe fraud affected the results of the election then challenge the result. I just don't see where it is close enough to make a difference this time. -----Original Message----- From: S.Isaac Dealey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, November 03, 2004 6:48 AM To: CF-Community Subject: RE: Congrats To Bushies > I think there has always been fraud and there will always > be fraud. Whether it makes up the difference or not it's vitally important that fraud, particularly in the case of an election be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible. > Don't challenge the election you just lost. It's contextual -- prosecuting the fraud requires the context in which the fraud was committed... or at least that's my opinion. s. isaac dealey 954.927.5117 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.sys-con.com/story/?storyid=44477&DE=1 http://www.sys-con.com/story/?storyid=45569&DE=1 http://www.fusiontap.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=34 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:133810 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
