So you meant deserved?  What are the conditions to deserve playing in 
the NBA?  Who get's to set these conditions?

You see where I'm going with this.   The thing about pro-sports is that 
it is supposed to be more merit based then the real world.  You can 
crank out better cash flow analysis then the other junior analysts but 
you get passed over because the team leader wants to choose someone that 
also played lacrosse.  Too bad.  It happens.  You can produce better 
code but they decide to hire some kid because he has an ivy league 
degree.  Too bad, it happens.  But in sports, it's supposed to be the 
guy that contributes the most towards winning gets to play.

David Stern would also disgree with you.  We have 3 players that went 
into the stands to hit a fan and none of them have been kicked out of 
the league.  Why?  Because he doesn't have the power to do that.

Like I said, I would prefer that player unable to control themselves not 
play, but I'm unwilling to judge Artest for something I might have done 
myself.
