Let me add a little to that. >From the NBAs view it may come down to a loss of revenue, if the only thing the NBA cares about is revenue. I would think the NBA as an organization cares about revenue, and the overall image of the sport and the organization.
Not only could it hurt nba income, but it could stain the NBA for future generations. Young kids might be less likely to dream of Basketball after they see how basketball players are allowed to act. The NBA has been criticized for a long time now because of the view that the players are babies. The fact that NBA players couldn't even meddle in the Olympics is just insane. The NBA is worried, and it sees people like Artest, who want to take a vacation from Basketball to promote his new album, and crap like that as a problem, and that problem should be dealt with. It isn't a moral issue, it is a corporate image issue. -----Original Message----- From: Won Lee [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, November 22, 2004 4:24 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: NBA > He brought shame to the NBA, and should be punished for it. > So you are saying he is to be punished for potentially damaging revenue stream? -- 2004 - The year $184M couldn't buy a pennant. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:137553 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
