The thing I don't understand is this... I'm saying what he did wasn't as bad as the media made it out to be because it's something that I think, while a bit excessive, is within the realm of probability for a lot of people.
People are writing what he did was so wrong and uncivilized. I guess this is where "I can't get it." Someone, unprovoked, throws a cup of beer at you. Good action would be to get the authorities to deal with it. Going over to punch the guy, while not the best of ideas isn't so far fetched. Why is this so bad? Artest's sin was that he hit the guy, his sin was he went into the stands to hit a customer? Is it so bad because he went into the stands? Was this the big sin he committed. If this is the case, then he didn't actually commit anything immoral. We don't care that he actually hit someone. We care he his a customer. He was a potential cause for loss of revenue? Give the league a black eye? What was Artest punished for? -- 2004 - The year $184M couldn't buy a pennant. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:137542 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
