I'd like to get a TDI VW, I know a few guys with those and they all get 48-55mpg with them regardless of body style. New vehicles in general cost an arm and a leg, I remember when brand new full sized trucks were just under $9k and that was I would guess 7 years ago. When I needed a new car earlier this year, I was kind of surprised when I looked at the new options and things that I thought would be a lot cheaper that other options, really were not a big savings at all.
