I'm not joking! All of my cash is in Euros, Kroners, Swiss Francs, Yen, and Yuan. The only dollars I have are the ones in my pocket and there's less than 40 of them. You are right though - long term I'm in the US with mutual funds like Mairs & Powers growth fund, Vanguard Health fund, Fidelity Conta Fund, et. al., plus some other stuff. A great site to use is http://www.financialengines.com It was started by a great professor my wife had, William Sharpe, who is a Nobel Prize winner. It let's you look at your savings and tells you how much you'll have when you retire.
