I enjoyed The Stand mini-series. I think they stretched it out over 8 or 10 hours, but the uncut version of the book was up over 1000 pages. Its my favorite book of all time, and the mini-series did it about as much justice as you can. The acting was also first rate, with Gary Sinise in the lead.
