I agree with this for the same reason I think that illegal drugs don't deter anyone from using them. In both cases the individual is committed to the action - my guess is they don't really consider the consequences if caught. Wasn't there a movie with movie with Macauly Caulkin (Party Monster?) based on a true story where he kills his New York drug dealer and is only caught after he brags about it to hundreds of people? Would the death penalty have been a deterrent in that case? No. It would seem that the only people deterred by the law are those that respect it - and they're not the ones that would commit the crimes anyway. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:139852 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
