I believe that to be noise also..... Anytime there is a "Damn Canadian" or "Damn American" sentiment, it's just a convieniant generalization....
Whatever the person is "Damning" about (or bothers him) probably reflects very little about the average Canadian/American. We are actually quite alike, while (both I imagin) wanting to be distinct.
