I was only semi-impressed. On Friday, I told my co-workers that I expected the Giants to win and Eli to have a good game. The Pitt-NY game is what football is about. Someone personally challenges you. Do your teammates respect you enough to help you overcome that personal challenge. Eli has to view Ben as a personal challenge to him as a football player. I'm glad the rest of the team rallied around him. Of course I thought this because I have no alternative. Being wrong about this meant being the Ryan-Leaf-Chargers for the next 3-5 years. As such, not getting the victory really upset me. More over, I don't want Manning to settle for things. He seemed a bit too happy just to be competitive. -- 2004 - The year $184M couldn't buy a pennant.
