true. and for me its more a reading game. ill fold early, even if i have a hand that later on in the game, i could fairly certainly win with, just to give the impression that im not gettin the hands etc...
and then even lose one, or two, then fake a bluff, etc... do all kindsa shit, just to throw people off, if they think you do not know what your doing, they will bluff you, and when they do that, and you get a nice set down you are in a good spot. nothing better than a bluffer to your right tho' basically, ken, there are SOOO many people elements of hold'em that id be really interested to see what kinda logic can be dreamed up to deal with this game, as its a big chess match rather than a simple card game... hence the hold'em allure that is spreading like wildfire these days... and its funny, ive been playin holdem for well over ten years, but just this christmas, i felt compelled to get a set of nice 13 oz'ers from my inlaws so i can host some cool holdem tourneys!! :) tw On Wed, 22 Dec 2004 10:30:59 -0500, Won Lee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Tony Weeg wrote: > > and his investment already into the pot, it changes your perspective > > completely... if you have a ton of money already in the pot, hoping > > for a flush draw, but you only nail 4 of the five, but there are three > > showing, barring anyone else having 2 of the suit in the hole, you can > > bluff that run to the high heavens! > > > > tw > > > > > > Most poker books will read that there is no such thing as investment. > Once you put the money into the pot it should influence you to make > another call.
