I've got about four boxes worth that I'll be getting rid of as well. Some of the same stuff, but mostly DC and indie. I can't fit 22 long boxes in my office any more, so I've been able to whittle it down to 18. ;^)
I think the best thing in the box is probably a complete (or near complete... I can't quite remember) run of "Lone Wolf and Cub" from First. There may also be the first 20 issues or so of "Spawn" and most of the run of "Dark Horse Presents". I'm hoping to catalog them this weekend. Most shops will buy bulk comics (if they'll buy them at all) at a nickel or (if you're lucky) a dime a book. You could try (as Mike suggested) auctioning them as a lot. I'll probably donate mine either to the local PBS auction (WGBH) or maybe hospital (but I worry about the latter since my tastes ran to the mature and I think most hospitals would see "comics" and immediately throw them onto the children's ward).
