On this as well - one of my favorite traditional comic book characters ever is Aquaman. He's truly one of the most complex characters in the DC universe but rarely gets his due props. The Peter David run on that book was brilliant (well... the Peter David run on nearly any book is brilliant) and the new series is surprising me as well. I just wish ANY of the new "Doom Patrol" series were any good... even John Byrne seems unable to resurrect them properly.
