We have a Daddy's Junkie Music here. Not sure if that is a regional or national music store, but they have been around here for years and years, and they have several shops in the New England area.
My plan all along was to do just what you were saying. Get a decent guitar, and learn from a tutor or a book. Just didn't know what book or tutor was preferred. If I get a chance in '05 to do this, I will get an intro book from that company. Many thanks!
