I used a CD cleaner a few months back, picked it up at Walmart, not sure of the brand, but did DVD, CD's, etc... and it worked like a charm. Was only like 30 bucks or something. Brought my old windows XP cd back to life after I left it rolling around in a box of crap for almost a year and y ou could barely see anything but scratches
