The core beliefs are the same. There are some small things that are 
different in practice: For instance, Sephardim don't have a prohibition 
against having more than one wife, while Ashkenazim do. In practice, this 
doesn't generally happen.  Sephardim have a tradition of eating a certain 
type of locust which is considered kosher, while Ashkenazim have forgotten 
the laws governing this and so we don't eat locusts at all. Sephardim eat 
rice on Passover, while Ashkenazic rabbis prohibited this (has to do with 
the laws of what makes a food leaven, and don't make me go into that. <g>) 
Also, there are differences in the prayer liturgy.
