to paraphrase the catchphrase, it's a child not a punishment. Russel, while there is merit to your position, the question is, if the mother doesn't want the child anyway, what kind of life is it going to have? I actually dislike abortion a great deal but I dislike the idea of telling someone who has decided she needs one that she can't have it worse. While I have great respect for potential life, if I took that to its logical conclusion it would be my duty to stay pregnant at all times....
