Amazon.co.uk started doing DVD rentals just before Christmas; perhaps they
are trailing it in a smaller market before a US launch?

It does seem a little different to most of the competition in that they
limit you to 4 or 6 DVD's a month, but they are quite a bit cheaper than the
competition in the UK and you get an extra 10% off DVD purchases. For
comparison Blockbuster charge 14, Amazon charge 8 or 10.

expect in the states when they launch.

Still - I think that the tide may be turning. Blockbuster, Walmart and now
Amazon.com (rumored) are all getting into the game. All of them have the
resources to undercut NetFlix significantly.
