This is purely rhetorical, but how much do you have saved and how old are you? If you're 30 - 35 you should have at least $100,000 IMO and that's cash money; not pension or home equity. I'll never argue that gov't should handle your money, but social security is for "unsophisticated" investors. Based on US savings rates that's 80% + of the population! So it would seem that, yes, the gov't saves for retirement better than 80% of the US population. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:143227 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
