"ALF" is the extremist group "Animal Liberation Front". They have claimed responsibly for firebombing several labs and attacking several researchers. They are also responsible for many lesser acts of vandalism and battery. PETA has given both rhetorical and monetary support to both groups however. They've paid legal fees and publicly praised the illegal actions and attacks.
