Well, I finally broke down, sick of the shit-headed transit system in this town, and bought a car. Since my last car, a Jeep, was stolen a couple of months ago, I bought this totally uncool station wagon with hippie stickers on it and an anti-bush bumper sticker. It came with a protection mandala, rofl. I figured nobody nobody nobody was gonna steal this thing. So, that was Saturday.
Monday the police notified me that they found my Jeep. Since they took their sweet time notifying me I owed three hundred dollars in towing and storage fees, but I have already done that rant and got the t-shirt. What is amusing though is that they recovered it from about six blocks from my house. They broke one of the small windows, a sign, I am told, that they were interested in it to sell or possibly chop it. However, the car was very low on transmission fluid and the transmission was sticking when the vehicle took a curve. So as we reconstruct it, they broke in, got the car started, took the curve to the right at the end of my block, took a left at the end of the street, the transmission sticking both times, got about six blocks away and ran out of gas. At which point they said screw it and left the car there. Our vigilant police force got around to noticing it four months later. Another rant. The fun part is that after I put gas and transmission fluid in it, it ran like a champ and is now back home where it belongs.
